Fashion journalist, digital editor, contributing editor, panel speaker and host / Former Fashion Features Editor, British Vogue, online (2007 to 2015) / University of the Arts, London College of Fashion alumni, Fashion Journalism
I am a freelance journalist who writes for a variety of titles, both online and in print: THE WEEK FASHION (at which I am Contributing Editor), Vogue International, The International New York Times, NYLON, Buro 24/7, Harper's Bazaar, Stella Magazine, Something About Magazine, Sunday Times Style, Porter, Hunger, Matchesfashion.com, Net-A-Porter's The Edit, The Business of Fashion, The Economist 1843 magazine, NOWFASHION, Glamour, Hearst's Sweet, The Wall Street Journal, Sorbet, Lula, The LFW Daily, The Telegraph Magazine, Twin, Because Magazine, Clash and more. You can see them here. I am also part of the selection panel for Centre for Fashion Enterprise and in the past have been for Graduate Fashion Week; as well as a judge on The Observer Ethical Awards 2011 and 2012, The Guardian Student Media Awards 2012, the UK Textiles Awards 2013; and have formerly been part of the selection panel for Fashion Scout. I have given talks at London College of Fashion, Central Saint Martins, University of the Creative Arts Epsom, Coventry University, Ravensbourne University and the Conde Nast College; and often host panel talks on SHOWstudio. I have also been a guest on BBC World News, appeared twice on Gemma Cairney’s Radio 1 Xtra show, featured as a guest speaker at Hay Festival 2015 and appeared on BBC Scotland radio. I was shortlisted for Online Fashion Journalist of the Year at the Fashion Monitor Awards 2013 and 2014. I regularly interview designers for the British Fashion Council's BFC Fashion Trust tours. To date these include snooping around the studios of: Emilia Wickstead, Marios Schwab, David Koma and Zoe Jordan. I also like to go to fashion weeks outside of the big four - so far these have included: Sao Paulo, Singapore, Lahore, Istanbul, Copenhagen, Berlin, Kiev, Moscow, Stockholm, Prague, Rome, Helsinki and Seoul (which is maybe my favourite).
I regularly post recent work, as well as timely pieces from my archive (!) on LinkedIn, so do have a click on to see who I've interviewed or what trend I've documented...
